2024 - 2025 Lady Gator Coaching Staff
Head Coach - Erik Lane
Coach Erik Lane is beginning his 6th season at Captain Shreve in 2024-2025 and his 34th season as a high school head coach. The Lady Gators went 23 - 4 - 1 this past year, winning the district championship for the third time, winning the Gator Cup for the 4th year in a row and advancing to the third round (quarterfinals) of the LHSAA play-offs. Coach Lane has gone 122 - 22 - 12 in five seasons at The Swamp and carries an overall record of 681 - 198 - 126 as a high school head coach. His teams have qualified for the play-offs in 29 of his 33 seasons winning 14 district championships, 5 regional championships (Texas) and have been state runner-up three times. He has coached at Langham Creek HS (TX) 93 - 41 - 27, Brenham HS (TX) 324 - 56 - 55 and Spring HS (TX) 142 - 79 - 32. He also coached the men's team at the University of Houston for two years going 10 - 6 - 4 in conference play and qualifying for the conference semi-finals both years.
Coach Lane has a B.S. in Physical Education from Southern Utah University and a M.ED in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. He has taught elementary, high school and college level physical education, and world geography, world history, US history, government and economics at the high school level. He currently teaches World Geography and World History at Captain Shreve.
He holds the NSCAA Premier and Advanced National diplomas and the USSF 'B' and Youth National licenses. He worked with South Texas ODP and trained select teams throughout the Houston area from the 1980's until retiring from club coaching in 2017 after a long stretch with the Texans Soccer Club. He has also worked with Cabosa/Shreveport United.
Coach Lane is also a past president of the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches (TASCO) and was inducted into the TASCO Hall of Honor in 2011.
Coach Lane is married to Jennifer (TAMU '89), who is a retired high school coach, teacher and counselor in Texas. The entire Lane family is looking forward to an exciting 2024-2025 season!

Junior Varsity Co-Coach - Laney Fouts
Playing Experience – CABOSA Shreveport United 2014-2021. Captain Shreve HS Varsity Soccer 2017-2021. Captain Shreve Lady Gator Team Captain 2020-2021. Laney currently attends Louisiana Tech University where she is majoring in Mechanical Engineering. She keeps her foot in the game playing intramural soccer at Tech. As a Captain Shreve alumnus, she is very excited to come back to The Swamp and help lead the next crop of Lady Gators to a successful season. Junior Varsity Co-Coach - Francisco Simoncini Playing Experience – CABOSA/Shreveport United 2013-2016, C.E. Byrd Varsity 2013-2016, Centenary College - 2017, Shreveport United GCPL - 2022 Coaching Experience – Ruston HS assistant - 2020-2022 Coach Simoncini graduated from Louisana Tech in 2022. He teaches Geometry and Algebra 2 at Captain Shreve. He loves math but his true passion is soccer. You can catch him watching Barcelona whenever he can. His coaching philosophy revolves around teaching his players how to enjoy the game. |

Goalkeeping Coach - Kaleb Behm Playing Experience- Bishop Gorman High School Varsity Soccer (Tyler, TX.) – 2011-2014 Centenary College – 2014-2017 Coaching Experience- Centenary College Head Men’s Goalkeeper Coach – 2020-2023 CABOSA Head Goalkeeper Coach 2022-2023 Kaleb graduated from Centenary College in the spring of 2018 with a degree in Business Finance and a minor in Economics after playing 4 years for the men’s soccer team and 2 years with the men’s tennis team. During his time coaching for Centenary College he helped coach the men’s soccer team to win their first conference tournament since joining the SCAC where the starting goalkeeper was awarded defensive player of the tournament. He married his wife Peyton in September of 2023 and they have two dogs, Ollie and Hank. |
