We are also offering goalkeeper training on the following dates: May 31; June 5,7,12,14,19,21,26,28; July 10,12,17,24,26; Aug 2. Training will be from 5:30pm - 6:30pm.
In addition to the week long camp, our varsity group will travel to Biloxi, MS, for training and friendlies (Denham Springs & St Michael Archangel) from July 3 -6.
ALL CSHS women's and men's players will also be volunteering at our week long FREE soccer camp for Caddo students, grades 1-6. This camp runs from June 19-22, from 8:30am-10:30am.
ALL CSHS women's soccer players, or potential players that are interested in playing high school soccer at the highest level are STRONGLY encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible.
ALL participants need to bring proper footwear, shin guards and a water bottle. The focus of training will be technical and tactical but the nature of soccer itself combined with the warm Shreveport summer weather will require considerable hydration both before and during training. It will also be important to make sure that your player is prepared for training by having a proper diet so that all players can get the most out of attending training.
In addition, there will be summer friendlies against other local high schools. All registered students at Captain Shreve HS will be eligible to participate (including incoming freshmen). Games will be scattered throughout the summer. We are currently scheduled to play on June 6,8; July 3,6,20,25,27,31; August 1. More dates will be added as we head towards the summer.

2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR
Captain Shreve students who train consistently with the group during the 2023 summer, and meet our fitness trial times, will be allowed to be in the athletic period during the school year. Our coaching staff understands that summer break involves many family events and we want everyone to be able to enjoy these events without worrying about missing training. However, the expectation is that if you are in town, then you need to be at our training sessions.
Afterschool soccer begins in mid October and continues into February. ALL players are expected to be at in-season soccer training afterschool as long as they are not ill.
Try-outs for players that are in the athletic period occurs throughout the fall. Try-Outs for players not in the athletic period will be during the week of October 16-20, exact time tba.
